Mary Anne Andrei is a freelance multimedia journalist. Her honors include three Heartland Emmy Awards, two Eric Sevareid Awards, and a 2020 Regional Edward R. Murrow Award. She was a finalist for the 2019 National Association of Broadcasters Marconi Radio Award for Best Podcast of the Year. Her photographs have appeared in The Guardian, Harper's, Mother Jones, and The New Republic. Her book, Nature’s Mirror: How Taxidermists Shaped America's Natural History Museums and Saved Endangered Species, is forthcoming from the University of Chicago Press in September.
