The Switchyard Food Issue is a finalist for a 2024 National Magazine Award in the category of Single-Topic Issue. This is one of two National Magazine Awards for which FERN is a finalist in 2024.
The National Magazine Awards are one of the most prestigious journalism-awards programs in the United States, the National Magazine Awards are sponsored by the American Society of Magazine Editors (ASME) in association with the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism. Originally limited to print magazines, the awards now recognize magazine storytelling published in any medium, including print, digital, video, and audio.
ASME will announce the winners of the 2024 National Magazine Awards on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.
