JBS misleads, says suit: New York Attorney General Letitia James filed a lawsuit alleging that JBS USA, the American subsidiary of the world’s largest beef processor, was misleading the public by saying it would achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2040 despite plans to increase production. Cleaner planes: A new Federal Aviation Administration rule will require large aircraft manufactured after Jan. 1, 2028, to incorporate improved fuel-efficiency technology, a rule FAA administrator Mike Whitaker says will allow the agency to “reach our goal of net-zero emissions by 2050.” (FAA)

Hawaii land purchases: Over the past couple of years, tech billionaire Marc Benioff has purchased hundreds of acres of land near the agricultural town of Waimea on Hawaii’s Big Island, although he has not revealed his plans for the purchases. (NPR)
