Join FERN at Sunset Magazine for a Panel on Fracking in CA

fracking_inline2Present a panel discussion on fracking in California and what it means for the future of farming in the Monterey Shale on May 7:

Sam Fromartz, FERN’s Editor-in-Chief, will moderate the panel, which will feature:

  • Barry Yeoman, reporter of “Nervous Energy,” a Special Report on fracking, food and water in the April issue of Sunset magazine.
  • Paula Getzelman, a wine grower in the San Antonio Valley, who is featured in the story.
  • Amy Quinton, Environment Reporter for Capital Public Radio, who recently produced a report on the politics of fracking in collaboration with FERN.
  • Jayni Foley Hein, Executive Director, Center for Law, Energy & the Environment at Berkeley and co-author of a report on fracking and water mentioned in the Sunset story.

Where: Sunset’s Menlo Park campus at 80 Willow Road in Menlo Park (shuttle from San Francisco provided, details below).

When: Wednesday, May 7, 6 – 8:15pm

Wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served.
