Workers at corn plant have coronavirus (Reuters): Four workers at an ADM corn processing plant on the Mississippi River in Clinton, Iowa, tested positive for the coronavirus and the facility is being deep-cleaned to prevent further spread of the virus.

Use the map to find lunch (USDA): The newly created “Meals for Kids” interactive map will help families find meals for their children during coronavirus closures; some 20,000 meal sites in 23 states are listed with more to be added.

Corn prices could go below $3 (farmdoc Daily): Corn prices could fall below $3 a bushel in large areas of the Midwest if farmers follow through on plans to plant 97 million acres of corn this year, resulting in a record-large harvest, said economist Todd Hubbs of the University of Illinois.

Laid-off workers become berry pickers (Guardian): Scottish farmers recruited laid-off workers and idled university students to harvest strawberries, blueberries and raspberries because border lockdowns are preventing the arrival of seasonal workers from eastern Europe.
