Progress on NAFTA (Reuters): Canadian Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland plans to be in Washington to meet with U.S. trade representative Robert Lighthizer as the trade chiefs try to agree on the outline of the new NAFTA before Mexico holds its presidential election.

Big money in fake meat (TechCrunch): Impossible Foods, the company behind the trendy fake-beef burger, has raised another $389 million in financing. The company is selling its burgers at more than 1,000 restaurants around the country.

Panera’s lax security (Nation’s Restaurant News): Panera Bread this week announced a fix to a security breach that compromised customers’ personal data. The company had reportedly known about the breach since August, and waited months to address it.

Hemp, the new U.S. farm crop? (Farm Journal): Several hemp bills are moving in Congress to allow commercial production. The 2014 farm law allowed hemp cultivation for research but not commercial purposes.
