Joe Shultz is the new Democratic staff director on the Senate Agriculture Committee, announced ranking member Debbie Stabenow. Shultz, who worked as an economist for the committee since 2011, succeeds Chris Adamo, who will become chief of staff for the White House Council on Environmental Quality. Stabenow also announced two deputy staff directors – Jacqlyn Schneider and Jonathan Cordone. Schneider will be policy director and Cordone will be chief counsel.
The Renewable Fuels Association named Tony Jackson as its communications director, succeeding Dawn Moore. Jackson has worked for the USDA and the House Agriculture Committee.
