Fast-food giant McDonald’s may sell more organic food to hold on to its customers, says chief executive Don Thompson, according to Bloomberg. The news agency quotes Thompson as saying during a tele-conference, “You’ll see us in some categories looking to different products, possibily organics…We actually are doing it in certain markets.” The sales are notably in Europe, says Bloomberg – organic milk in Britain and Germany, organic fruit juice in Germany and France. Bloomberg says McDonald’s is losing customers to brands such as Chipotle, which touts antibiotic-free meat.
