First Lady to continue to fight for school lunch reform

First Lady Michelle Obama will fight for healthier school meals and the White House has made the issue a top priority,  senior nutrition policy advisor Sam Kass told supporters, according to Obama Foodorama. On a conference call with school leaders, school nutritionists, parents and health advocates, Kass asked for continued support for the reforms. White House legislative assistant Amy Rosenbaum also was on the Friday call, said Obama Foodorama. The story was based on information from listeners on the call.

“…Kass talked strategy for the weeks ahead, to ensure that when both chambers of Congress again take up the agriculture spending bill, the school nutrition standards that are the legislative centerpiece of Mrs. Obama’s child obesity campaign will be protected,” said the Web site.
