Dunkin’ Donuts will switch all U.S. outlets to cage-free eggs

Dunkin’ Donuts joined fast-food companies McDonald’s and Taco Bell in announcing a switch to cage-free eggs. Dunkin’ said it will use only cage-free eggs in the United States by 2025 and will explore the feasibility of going cage-free in all its operations worldwide, said Reuters. The doughnut chain announced its decision jointly with the Humane Society of the United States. Previously, Dunkin’ said it would use cage-free eggs for 10 percent of its breakfast sandwiches in the United States by the end of next year, said Reuters.
