Bush, Rubio, Perry, Walker to speak at Iowa Ag Summit

Organizers of the Iowa Ag Summit, intended to highlight and promote agriculture, say seven potential presidential candidates are the first to confirm they will speak at the March 7 event at the Iowa State Fair grounds in Des Moines. The seven are Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, former Sen. Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania and New York businessman Donald Trump. All are Republicans.

Each speaker is allotted 20 minutes on stage to answer questions from Bruce Rastetter, the summit organizer. In a statement, Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad urged other prospective candidates to speak at the summit. Iowa begins the selection process for presidential nominations with its precinct caucuses, now set for Feb. 1, 2016.
